2. What is sold

Each name in the catalogue is sold as two things: the registration of the domain name, and copyright in the wordmark supplied with it. Where a name is sold as a bundle of spellings, the registrations of every domain in the bundle are included.

Not sold and not included: any registered trademark, any company registration, or any exclusive right to the word itself. A trademark can only be applied for by an operating business, for specific goods or services, in specific territories, so no name in the catalogue is or can be pre-registered.

3. Buyer due diligence

Catalogue information, stories and descriptions are provided in good faith. They are not a guarantee of trademark availability or of lawful use. The buyer is solely responsible for checking that a name is free to use in their industry and territory, and for any trademark application. We recommend professional advice. We make no representation about trademark status or legal availability.

4. Our screening

We do not list names offered in bad faith, such as clear infringements of well-known marks or misspellings of popular domains. If a conflict comes to light after a name is listed, we may withdraw it at any time.

5. Warranty of title

We warrant that we are the registrant of each domain offered, that we have the right to sell it, and that we are not aware of any third-party claim to it.

6. Prices, currency and payment

All prices are set in US dollars (USD). Every name is sold at the price listed for it, and prices are not negotiated. 119 Club names are sold at a fixed price of $119; Premium Club names are priced from $500 to $10,000; Diamond Club names are priced above $10,000. A bundle of spellings is sold at the prices of its domains added together, as one purchase.

Any amount shown in another currency is a reference conversion only, based on third-party published rates, and is not the amount that will be charged. The final amount depends on the exchange rate and any fees applied by the buyer's bank or card provider.

Purchases are completed on our partner marketplace, Spaceship SellerHub (spaceship.com), under that marketplace's terms, which govern payment, escrow and transfer. We sell worldwide; the buyer is responsible for any local taxes on digital purchases in their country.

7. Transfer

Transfer is managed by the partner marketplace. If a domain cannot be transferred, the partner marketplace refunds the buyer in full under its own terms.

8. Sales are final

Every sale is final. Once a purchase is completed on the partner marketplace it cannot be cancelled, and the price is not refundable. Once the domain has been transferred to the buyer, it belongs to the buyer. Until the transfer completes, the payment is held in escrow by the partner marketplace, and if a domain cannot be transferred the payment is returned as section 7 describes. This website does not take orders or payments.

9. Renewals

After transfer, the buyer pays their own registrar's renewal fees.

10. Liability

Our liability in connection with a purchase is limited to the price paid. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

11. Partner marketplace

We are not liable for the acts or omissions of the partner marketplace. Payment, escrow, transfer and support are governed by its own terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection the buyer has under the law of their own country.

13. The Professor

Professor Brand is a fictional character. The catalogue is presented under that persona by design.

14. Intellectual property

The Professor Brand name, logo, character artwork, stories and site content are protected, and may not be copied or reused without permission. The wordmark supplied with a purchased name is the only artwork whose copyright transfers to the buyer.
